Microelectronic Systems Education in the United States

In the United States, a variety of microelectronic systems courses have been developed during the past two decades. Government and industry actions have played a signi cant role in shaping these developments inspite of the fact that no coordinated policy existed. These events are chronicled and additional measures are proposed to enhance microelectronic systems education not only in the U.S. but throughout the world.
